Born in Seoul, South Korea, I grew up with an imagination that refused to stay in one lane. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a musician, a filmmaker, a theatre actor, a composer-lyricist, a recording engineer, and a writer, not because I couldn't choose, but because I understood early on that great stories live at the intersection of all these things.
That instinct for storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I'm sitting at the piano letting words and melodies find each other, composing and arranging for a project, producing content that brings an artist's vision to life, or guiding a student through their first chord, I'm always chasing the same thing: music and stories that resonate deeply with people.
My work as a content creator grew out of necessity. During the COVID pandemic, I began recording musicians and filming performances to help artists continue sharing their craft with the world. What started as a response to a crisis became a calling. Today, that work continues because musicians everywhere have ideas worth spreading, and I want to help them reach people.
Beyond my own projects, I've had the privilege of building creative collaborations, as president of the Creativity Club at the University of Kentucky, co-host of @ComposedOut YouTube channel, and a guest performer at Winchester Christian Ballet. Creative collaborations and building communities are not something that I just happen to offer; it's something I believe in.
And in between it all, I teach piano. My students remind me every day why music matters; they keep my passion alive and my curiosity endlessly growing.
